Artwork Guidelines
To ensure the best print quality, please prepare your artwork using the guidance below. If you're unsure, send your files and we'll advise.
Accepted File Formats
- Preferred: PDF, AI, EPS (vector formats).
- Accepted: PNG (high-resolution, transparent background if possible).
- Avoid: Low-resolution JPGs, screenshots, or files from Word/PowerPoint.
Resolution
Raster artwork must be at least 300dpi at the final print size. Enlarging low-resolution artwork can result in blurry or pixelated prints.
Colour Modes
- Use CMYK for full-colour print artwork.
- Use Pantone (spot colours) where specific brand colours are required.
- RGB files may shift when converted for print.
Bleed & Safe Area
If your design runs to the edge of the print area, include a 3mm bleed and keep important text or logos at least 3-5mm inside the safe area.
We'll supply a proof with guidelines before printing.
Logo Tips
- Provide vector logos whenever possible for crisp edges.
- Outline fonts or include font files to avoid substitutions.
- Keep fine lines and small text to a minimum for better legibility.
Common Issues To Avoid
- Supplying artwork below 300dpi.
- Using RGB colours or web-only colour references.
- Sending designs without enough margin or safe area.
- Embedding low-quality images or compressed logos.
